Get Involved

Our work and ministry depends entirely on the generosity of people like you who care about our mission and share in the work of bringing the love of Christ to the children of Burkina Faso. The donations we receive support all aspects of our work: our schools, sponsorship programs, community assistance efforts, our employees, and 10% for general administration.

We are so thankful for the Lord’s abundant blessings through many generous donors who have brought us this far, and we invite you to be part of the work the Lord is doing through Burkina Faso Outreach by making a donation. Please prayerfully consider clicking on the DONATE or SPONSOR A CHILD buttons on the right side of this website and we will lead you through the process. (All donations are tax-deductible.)

Just some of the things your donations make possible:

  • Construction of a single classroom – $12,000 – $15,000
  • Teacher’s salary – about $200/month
  • Student Tables & Benches – $30 – $40 each
  • High school tuition – $100-$150/year
  • Grade school tuition – about $5/year
  • School Uniform & Supplies – about $16/child
  • 200 lbs of grain – about $40/bag
  • Medications – as little as $3 and more
  • Mud-brick home – $300

Ephesians 6:7-8 “Serve wholeheartedly as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.”

Maybe you’re interested in State-side volunteering.  The work of Burkina Faso Outreach would not be possible were it not for those who volunteer of their time and talent on this side of the world while Lynn is working in Burkina. Volunteers organize the creation and distribution of mailings such as child sponsor packets and newsletters.  When Lynn sends artwork and photos of the children from Burkina, volunteers make sure these treasures arrive in the hands of sponsors.  Others help organize fundraising and donor appreciation events.

Or, volunteer in Burkina Faso!  Some are called to “go” and others are called to “send those who go”.  If you sense the Lord is calling you to go, by all means, pray about it while asking, “Lord, what would you have me do?”  If you’re an elementary school teacher, the possibilities are endless.  You might help create curriculum, lead a teacher training workshop, or even work directly with the children alongside one of BFO’s Burkina teachers.

If you’re not a teacher, possibly you have another gift you might share with the children of Burkina; or you may have administrative skills that would be helpful.

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, just get in touch with Lynn – it starts with a conversation and the Lord will lead from there!
